Emily Mortimer (Sense of an Ending)  plays the gentle Norfolk shop owner at the heart of this fascinating adaptation (book by Penelope Fitzgerald) shot in Northern Ireland, made by a Spanish Director. Also starring Bill Nighy (Love Actually) and Patricia Clarkson (Green Mile), the performances of all three in this aged tale about late 1950’s class and corruption make this film a must see this autumn

"The Bookshop benefits from being made by an outsider. At times, it may seem off-key but there is an irony and originality here that you wouldn’t find if a British director had been calling the shots". Geoffrey Macnab (Independent)
